I'm not surprised Kamiya died, they've hinted it with letting Haru touch his bat when no-one else had, telling him to cherish the match this episode and the fact he drinks nothing but coffee and then not even drinking that after the incident. Too bad it's so early on in the series though, I wonder if they'll really kill him off or in the next episode it'll just be that he's unconscious lol.

Lol of course Ojiro was hiding such a handsome face behind the mask. It must be frustrating for him that he didn't get a clear win between him and Kamiya since he was touched by Kamiya and there won't even be a rematch. That's a heavy bruise though, I didn't think it'd be that noticeable since Otori had more impact during that scuffle.

I have my doubts too, but like you said all signs seem to be pointing toward him actually being dead. At the very least, he's probably out of the game permanently, because it felt like he was "passing on the torch" this episode.

I hope so too but it isn't looking too good. He's not in the last scene of the Ed. He has also had multiple death flags and then there was the psych out at the hospital where everyone thought he was all messed up and he was just sitting there with a smile on his face waving...

I feel like it's too early to kill of his character though. This is a very different "will they or won't they" feeling.... Will the writers kill off Komiya or won't they?

I think it's exaggerated too. The ending more seemed he just didn't want to show his disappointment to the group so he left on a cheery note. He also hesitated to throw the ball at 100%. He probably didn't want to harm her and she blames herself. In terms XB is important to him.

Man! I really love this episode. I love how they didn't pull a nonsense and made Minato tribe win. That's a very good way to establish a rivaly and clear objective for the story.

Kamiya uses waifu guard but it's not effective! I just hope that that wasn't a life threatening inury for him, though.

BTW. I'm feeling a bit guilty for not just noticing how good the ED theme is until this episode.
